Note: Hammond, Indiana is in the same time zone as Chicago and observes Central Daylight Savings Time. Directions to Purdue Calumet The most convenient way to get to Purdue Calumet is by car. From all points, proceed to Interstate 80/94, exit 2 in Indiana, Indianapolis Boulevard, roughly 2 miles from the Illinois state line. Note that this is NOT the Indiana Toll Road! Take the northbound exit to Indianapolis Boulevard, and proceed to the stoplight at 169th Street. Turn right, and at the next stoplight, right again into the Purdue Calumet north parking lot. Proceeding straight ahead, park anywhere not obviously prohibited. The building straight ahead as you enter the parking lot, with the obnoxious flashing sign above the door, is Gyte, where all talks will be held. Both a regional map of local interstates and a campus map are available online. If you travel by plane, Tri-State Coach offers bus service from both Midway and O'Hare airports to the Hammond/Highland terminal. Consult their web page at for a current schedule. It is best to have someone meet you at the bus terminal if you are travelling this way, so please contact one of the organizers.
